These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PromptUp browser extension and related services ("Service") operated by PromptUp ("we", "our", "us"). By installing or using PromptUp, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

PromptUp is a browser extension that enhances prompts for AI tools including ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. When you click the PromptUp button, your prompt text is sent to our servers, enhanced using AI, and returned to you. The Service is available as a free tier with limited daily usage and paid tiers with higher or unlimited usage.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use PromptUp. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Account & Authentication

The free tier does not require an account. Paid tiers require an email address for authentication via magic link. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email and for any activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate prompts for illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the extension or API
• Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other security measures
• Share, resell, or redistribute your paid subscription or license key
• Use automated tools to send bulk requests to our API

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. By subscribing, you authorize recurring monthly charges until you cancel. Prices are listed on our website and may change with 30 days' notice. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Free Tier

The free tier provides a limited number of daily enhancements. We reserve the right to adjust free tier limits at any time. The free tier is provided as-is with no service level guarantees.

7. Intellectual Property

The PromptUp extension, API, website, and all associated code, design, and content are owned by PromptUp. Your prompts remain yours — we claim no ownership over the text you submit or the enhanced results you receive.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that enhanced prompts will produce specific results from any AI tool. AI tools are operated by third parties (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) and their responses are outside our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PromptUp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension and cancelling any active subscription.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
